== Overview ==

The chapel was recorded in the r.2.-10 NBT scan, which also documented the Cangrejos x Oasis Mining Outpost at X:1517, Z:−4798 and a directional sign for Withering Heights at X:1510, Z:−4814. The three structures form a cluster on the road south of Withering Heights, serving travellers on the Purpur Line corridor approaching from the south.

The Capilla del Cristo is one of the few named religious structures in Zothique, and one of the clearer examples of theoubre's habit of naming things specifically: where other builders left unsigned builds, he posted a chapel with a formal name on the approach road to a nether-themed city with animal dress codes.

The Purpur Line connection at Withering Heights was documented October 10–11, 2016, under the Cangrejos Trust. The chapel pre-dates or is contemporaneous with that connection.
