During the late-night gaming sessions of Ravenkraft's founding years, MattFu was making what he called a grilled cheese when [[Wizardofire]] corrected him: back home in '''central Illinois''' — hyperlocal to Wiz's county — it's always been a '''cheese toastie'''. The name caught on immediately.

One September 28th, the group jokingly declared it '''[[Cheese Toasty Day]]'''. The tradition has continued every year since. According to server lore, something else came into being alongside it: the spirit now known as '''[[Shadowmelt]]''' — the warm, golden memory of those early sessions, made manifest.
