'''RyanPhantom the Phantom''' was a Minecraft phantom mob bearing the name of [[RyanPhantom]] — the absent Zothique-era founder of [[Cangrejos]] and [[Aradia]]. He lived in the nether. He was, given his species, aggressive toward anyone who hadn't slept, which is perhaps the most accurate tribute possible.

He was accidentally killed by [[Arctic Emerald]].

== The Incident ==

Arctic Emerald killed the phantom. This was not malicious. Arctic Emerald knew immediately. He posted to Discord:

: ''"Oh no I'm so sorry what have I done"''

And then:

: ''"I'll atone for my sins"''

At approximately 12:05 AM that night, Arctic Emerald introduced the community to a replacement phantom: '''Mr. Huggy Jr.''' His words on the matter:

: ''"I know he isnt the same but I hope we may accept Mr Huggy Jr, long may he live"''

[[M3lon8r]] appreciated the effort. M3lon8r also filed suit.

== The Trial ==

The '''Trial of RyanPhantom''' was held on or around March 22, 2025 before Judge [[Linatic]], with [[MickyMack]] of Cyborg Law Offices representing the prosecution and [[WondrousWally]] serving as court-appointed defense counsel for Arctic Emerald. [[ComradeFeliks]] served as the investigating detective and trial witness. At least fifteen players attended simultaneously.

Arctic Emerald was found guilty.

M3lon8r's post-trial position was that it was ''"a bullshit trial and the judge was obviously biased"'' and also that it was ''"one of the greatest memories I've ever made on this server."'' Both things are true.

== Legacy ==

RyanPhantom the Phantom became a community event. He was mourned sincerely. He was replaced symbolically. He was litigated. Long may Mr. Huggy Jr. live.
