Ravenport is the transit and goods terminal district of Mercantile in Alpha Centauri, centred at approximately -526, 64, 208 (OW city centre), with the terminal district at -803 to -765, 14–72, 693–728.
Overview
Ravenport served as the commercial gateway to the Free Trade Nation. All rail freight arriving from Sher via the Ravenport Express terminated in its underground goods complex. The above-ground city centre sat north of the terminal, while the Ravenport Underground — a tunnel network connecting warehouses to the surface — ran beneath the settlement.
The Terminal
The underground terminal (approximately -803 to -765, z:693–728) housed dedicated warehouse bays for:
- Nether Goods, Rail Supplies, Minecarts
- Gold, Iron, Lapis, Redstone
- Wood, Armor, Snow, Wool
- Sand, Glass, Fancy Slabs, Smooth Stone
- Planting Supplies, Cobblestone
Multiple surface lift shafts connected the terminal to the dockside level. A sign labelled simply Ravenport hung at -787, 72, 714 above the main concourse; Underground at -784, 72, 714 marked the descent.
Dock Incident
A note left on the dock at -635, 64, 695:
- "I was exploring and a creeper blew up part of the dock. I used wood from this chest to fix it. Sorry."
Southern Bridge
The Southern Bridge was constructed in March 2013 — one of the last major infrastructure builds of the Alpha Centauri era. A plaque names its builders: Mattfu, TheWanderingFool, Justin1423, Ajentsp02, and AnUnhappyPickle.
