Aquarius is a large interactive public aquarium in Bankrekka, located at approximately −1130, 70, −90 in region r.-3.-1. It is one of the most elaborate community builds in the western corridor and among the oldest preserved structures on the server, having originated as a mining outpost built in March 2020 and later developed into a full aquarium complex. The build was imported from the Diaspora world and is operated by player theoubre.
Aquarius is not listed in the Dynmap city registry and does not appear in the Bankrekka Cities table. It exists as a standalone point of interest in the same region as Turtle Grove.
History[edit]
A sign at (−1139, 69, −104) records the origin:
Originally, this building was a mining outpost built in Mar 2020
The 2020 date predates Bankrekka (founded 2022) and places the original build in the Diaspora world era. The mining outpost was subsequently transformed into the aquarium and the structure was carried forward when Diaspora content was imported into Bankrekka. A sign at (−1123, 71, −76) commemorates this history: "The Construction of Aquarius."

The centrepiece of Aquarius is a comprehensive tropical fish taxonomy exhibit, displaying all Minecraft tropical fish variants labelled with both their real-world common name and their in-game variant identifier (pattern + colour code):

A dedicated Fish Size/Pattern Exhibit at (−1120, 79, −81) further categorises fish by Minecraft pattern type (Spotty, Flopper, Brinely, Blockfish, Kob, Stripey, Betty, Glitter, Sunstreak, Snooper, Clayfish, Dasher) with colour codes for each variant.
Coral Reef[edit]
A coral reef exhibit displaying all five coral types and their block variants:

Nearby Notes[edit]
Two signs at (−1025–1026, 104, −76) — located roughly 100 blocks east of Aquarius at elevated y=104 — commemorate a stolen and mourned item:
- "stole my bow, formerly named Coke"
- "missed by FUCKING NOBODY"
These appear to be unrelated to Aquarius itself, likely belonging to a separate player claim in the area.
