Skylight is an Alpha Centauri-era city located at the world's spawn point (approximately 8, ?, 8), and by its own account the biggest city in all of Ravenkraft at its height.
Overview[edit]
Skylight was alphac's spawn city, welcoming all new players who joined the world. Its Nether portal sat at Nether 1, 131, 1 — directly above the bedrock ceiling — and a multi-sign "Legend of Skylight" narrative was displayed in the Nether hub, telling the founding myth of the city.
The overworld spawn region (r.0.0) is locked in the current archive and cannot be scanned directly.
The Legend of Skylight[edit]
A multi-panel sign narrative displayed in the Alphac Nether Hub at Nether coords 1/58–131/7–11, signed by Jekyell:
Once upon a time, a lone miner worked tirelessly on building a railroad. Little did he know he had angered Teufel, the lord of the Nether. The lone miner was then banished to a barren wasteland that he could never leave.
The lone miner, trapped above the Nether, began to build a small town of which he lived in for many months till he grew mad. He then beseeched the wizard of eternal flames to help him escape from his prison.
The wizard heard his cries and cast a potion to break through the unbreakable ground of which the miner was trapped upon. The wizard then broke through the ground where the miner was trapped. With a gigantic flash of light, the ground began to give away. The miner, amazed by the incredible light, refused to leave and would not give up his town he had built in.
He continued to build it up with a few stops between worlds, till it became the biggest city in all of Ravenkraft and is still expanding — now come join!

The welcome board at Nether 1/131/1 read: "Welcome to Skylight! Please read the rules before continuing. Thank you, Jekyell."
A Skylight Lava Access Control mechanism was located at Nether 2/119/1.
