Babel is a city in Zothique with a Mesopotamian-themed street grid and an ambitious construction programme, located at approximately 700–850, 65–90, 1220–1350 in the Overworld (Region r.1.2). It takes its name from the Biblical Tower of Babel and uses ancient Mesopotamian place names for its streets. The city was marked in the Zothique Nether Hub transit map as "BABEL IS INCOMPLETE — VERY UNLIT — ENTER AT YOUR OWN RISK."

Overview
Babel is built around a Mesopotamian-inspired city plan with named avenues and boulevards. Despite being listed as incomplete, it features a working warehouse, stables, a radio station, a quest system, and proximity to the historic EDEN landmark. Its key builders — wizardofire, Rottorz, MickyMack, and RawrSaysMeXD — are listed on a community sign at 756–766, 69, 1223.

Street Grid
Babel's roads are named after figures and concepts from ancient Mesopotamian mythology:

* Nintu Avenue — east–west artery (766, 70, 1230 and 782, 70, 1301)
* Ishtar Boulevard — north–south artery (769, 70, 1278 and 783, 70, 1300)
* Gilgamesh Street — cross-street (692, 71, 1319 and 692, 71, 1321)
* Apsu Street — referenced at 797, 70, 1331

Notable Landmarks
Library of Babel
Located at 766, 70–71, 1262, marked UNDER CONSTRUCTION. The library is thematically named after Jorge Luis Borges' story of a universe-spanning library.

ARADIO-BABEL
A second ARADIO Radio Station at 834, 67, 1300, operating at 121.0 FM, established November 8, 2015 (a sister station to the Cangrejos ARADIO Central at 121.0 FM, established June 8, 2015).

Babel Warehouse
Community supply warehouse at 740–745, 70–72, 1231–1246 (signed "Do Not Steal — Babel Project Use Only!"), stocking:

Open Dungeon / Quest System
At 702–704, 68–69, 1317, a community dungeon system uses signed markers:
* OPEN DUNGEON markers placed outside unlocked dungeons ("all things within may be raided")
* QUEST CHEST markers for special chests ("Take anything — EXCEPT Book and Quills for storyline progression")
* TOTEMS area at 703, 70, 1316

EDEN
A protected server landmark at 810–812, 71, 1462 with signs: "EDEN — Established April 2014 — Please do not touch, grief, or otherwise change anything." EDEN is notable as one of the earliest constructions on Zothique, predating most other cities.

The Eismond Colosseum
An adjacent arena complex at 885–942, 64, 1025, operated by Eismond / Morius (see Mirage), with four combat tiers:
* Gold tier (885, 64, 1025)
* Iron tier (897, 64, 1025)
* Stone and Chain tier (930, 64, 1025)
* Leather and Wood tier (942, 64, 1025)

A jump course (numbered gates 1–13) and racetrack (514, 69, 1042) are also in the region.

Oasis Mining Company Operations
The Oasis Mining Company operates underground mining shafts at 515–557, 83, 1280–1284 (marked with company banners), adjacent to Babel's western approaches.

A transit sign at 537, 72, 1480 points toward: "← Oasis | ← Cangrejos | → Zoo," suggesting a planned or emerging Zoo to the east.

Transit
Babel is accessible via the Netherbrick Line from the Zothique Nether Hub (OW equivalent: ~536, z:1344). The Blue Line (via Cangrejos Trust) and Red Line (via RyanPhantom, est. 7/11/14) also serve the region.
