RyanPhantom
RyanPhantom is a veteran Ravenkraft player from the Alpha Centauri IV and Zothique eras, best known as the founder of Aradia and Cangrejos, the server's primary rail network builder, and its main livestreamer during the Zothique period.
Alpha Centauri IV
RyanPhantom's Alpha Centauri presence runs parallel to his Zothique work — he carried the organizational model of the Cangrejos Trust forward across eras rather than starting fresh. His established rail expertise and administrative infrastructure made Cangrejos the dominant political and economic power in Zothique from the start.
Zothique
Cangrejos
RyanPhantom founded Cangrejos circa 2015 — a city-state that self-styled as SPQR (Senatus Populusque Cangrejos) and backed it up with genuine civic institutions: the Cangrejos Trust infrastructure body, the First Bank of Cangrejos, an active Metro, a radio station, two public libraries, a casino, and a nightclub. Most of Zothique's Nether Express lines were built by the Cangrejos Trust between 2016 and 2017. The stamped construction dates remain on maintenance signs across the network.
He built the Town Plaza at approximately 486, 70, 1863; ARADIO Central Radio Station (121.0 FM, Est. 6/8/15) at 377, 69, 1877; Club Alexandria with its elevator system; and the Koryo Casino at 501, 70, 1880.
Aradia
RyanPhantom founded Aradia on July 14, 2014 — a foundation plaque at (2001, 63, 1988) confirms the date. The city's street grid is named after the main characters of RWBY: Yang Street, Blake Boulevard, Ruby Lane, Weiss Road. He served as Mayor of Aradia; his personal mayoral residence is at (1963, 65, 2002).
When Monty Oum, creator of RWBY, died in 2015 during the period the server was active, RyanPhantom built two structures in his honour: the Monty Oum Memorial Fountain (1977, 65, 2024) and the Monty Oum Memorial Hospital (1953, 67, 1982).
The 16-Clue Scavenger Hunt
RyanPhantom authored a 16-clue Easter egg hunt connecting Aradia to several other Zothique settlements — Rushmore, Emerald City, Wysteria, the Nether Dome, and more. Winner sign-in books at (2046, 49, 1936) still hold entries from wizardofire, Micky, Mycroft, theoubre, LindseyPhantom, PandaSempai, antnachos, and others. Players were finding clues in remote nether regions years after the era ended; thirteen of the sixteen turned up in Antsylvania (r.2.-6), archived in a chest maintained by antnachos.
Media
RyanPhantom documented server life through regular livestreams during the Zothique era, capturing group builds and community events as they happened. He also produced the Ravenkraft Retro VHS Advertisement — Railway — a period-accurate promotional video in the aesthetic of VHS-era cable-access television.
Diaspora
In Diaspora, RyanPhantom's activity includes:
- Mesa Grande — a settlement and Terracotta Mine referenced in the far-north nether corridor (nether r.0.-2 at 0, 69, −751); terracotta operations at nether (352, 67, −732)
- Private Blaze Grinder — established July 21, 2021 at approximately nether (−85, 76, −708): "DO NOT ENTER! Please use public grinder instead."
Legacy
A Minecraft phantom mob was named RyanPhantom in his honour. It lived in the nether. It was accidentally killed by Arctic Emerald. The community held a trial.
