Ravenport is the capital city of Bankrekka, the current survival world of the Ravenkraft Network. Founded in February 2022 by Wizardofire and ComradeFeliks at the time of the world's launch, it serves as the primary transit hub, city portal gateway, and market district for the server.
The city sits at coordinates -730, 143, 120 in region r.-2.0, built at significant elevation (y=143) suggesting a prominent hilltop or elevated plateau setting.
Overview
Ravenport functions as the civic and commercial heart of Bankrekka. Its infrastructure includes:
- The primary train station — the main rail terminal connecting to outlying cities
- A city portal — the hub through which players reach named settlements across the world
- A market district — the main player-run economy zone
As Bankrekka was founded on the Towny plugin, Ravenport is the founding town and seat of administrative authority on the server. The world was launched under the working name South Mesa before the community settled on Bankrekka — named in part after the infamous Krekka.
Nether Access
The Ravenport Nether portal is located at approximately -65, y=?, 14 in the Nether (the Ravenport (Spawn City) waypoint), making it the closest hub portal to Nether coordinate origin. This places Ravenport as the anchor of Bankrekka's Nether highway network.
History
Ravenport was established in February 2022 at the launch of Bankrekka on Minecraft 1.18 (Caves & Cliffs Part 1 terrain). Following the server migration in August 2022, some town data was affected; Ravenport as the founding capital retained continuity through the migration.
