The Oasis is a major city in Zothique, centered at approximately 430, 65, 880 in the overworld (r.0.1). Built and managed primarily by theoubre, it served as a regional hub for commerce, diplomacy, mob study, and horse breeding. The Oasis forms a twin city with Mirage to the east.

Overview[edit]
The Oasis is a desert city in the heart of Zothique's south-central desert. Its northern gateway, at approximately OW ~330, 65, 555, served as the primary Spawn welcome center for new players, complete with a barter shop, tips board, and free watermelon garden. The full city extends south along the desert, surrounded by the Desert Tortoise Ecological Preserve — a large protected zone administered by The Oasis, marked throughout with signs reading Land under the protection of The Oasis. Tread lightly!
The Oasis maintained a diplomatic embassy district at approximately ~324–358, 75–83, 611–650, hosting formal embassies for the Archean Empire, the Commonwealth of Paxis, Cangrejos, and the twin cities of Oasis and Mirage.
Spawn Welcome Center[edit]
Located at ~327–335, 65, 555:
- Barter shops selling tools, food, torches, stone pickaxe, iron sword, and soup (exchange a wood bowl for soup)

- San Mateo Fresh Fish at ~306, 65, 564 — 16 cooked salmon for 1 iron, 6 coal, or 8 rotten flesh (For the newbies!)
- Free watermelons in the adjacent public garden

The Oasis Mining Company also operated Haven (r.2.1) as a direct subsidiary, the Haven Outpost (r.3.1), and Withering Heights (r.2.−11) as a planned nether-aesthetic city at the far end of the Purpur Line. Additional Oasis Mining holdings in the Purpur Line corridor include Black Mesa (Water Temple, Map Room, Island Retreat, Triumphant Arch) and an Acacia Fishing Village in nether r.0.−4.
Desert Tortoise Ecological Preserve[edit]
A large protected zone spanning r.0.1 and into r.1.1. Formal protection under The Oasis administration; no building permitted.
