Theoubre

theoubre is a veteran Ravenkraft player who joined during the Alpha Centauri IV era in 2012 and has remained part of the community through every subsequent world.

Alpha Centauri IV[edit]

theoubre had a small homestead in Alpha Centauri IV (r.0.−2 area) with a zombie spawner. He appears in early community infrastructure.

Zothique[edit]

During Zothique, theoubre was one of the world's most prolific single-player builders, founding three cities under the Oasis Mining Company banner.

The Oasis[edit]

theoubre's founding project, centered at approximately 430, 65, 880 in region r.0.1. The Oasis served as the spawn welcome center for the entire server — new players arrived at the northern gateway to find barter shops, a tips board, and a free watermelon garden. San Mateo Fresh Fish (For the newbies!) sold cooked salmon at the northern gate.

The city's full facilities included the Mob Museum (all 35 horse coat combinations; Casper the Unfriendly Ghast; an Invisible Cat exhibit), a Villager Warehouse with automated buying and healing potion included, named horses for sale (Eeyore, Sir Galahad, Pokey, Spot, Speedy Gonzales, Jesse James, Liberty, Aurora), and the Desert Tortoise Ecological Preserve — a formally administered protected zone across r.0.1 and r.1.1 marked throughout with signs reading Land under the protection of The Oasis. Tread lightly!

A Diplomatic Quarter at approximately 324–358, 75–83, 611–650 hosted embassies for the Archean Empire, the Commonwealth of Paxis, Cangrejos, and the Twin Cities of Oasis and Mirage. The Oasis is itself one of the Twin Cities, which means it administered an embassy for its own diplomatic relationship with itself.

Underground (level ~38–46): the Oasis Mining Company facility and an Underground Rail Station at ~492–509, 38–43, 1009–1016, serving four directions: north (Spawn), south (Elysium, Cangrejos), east (Haven, Rushmore), west (Village).

Haven[edit]

Haven is the second city — described on its own posted signs as "a subsidiary of The Oasis Mining Company." Mayor: theoubre. Located at 1447–1529, 65–90, 907–1013 in region r.2.1, Haven was under active construction at the time of archival and seeking a Manager and Residents. Rental housing was operational at five gold ingots, eight iron ingots, or one diamond per plot.

The Haven Outpost in r.3.1 includes a Lookout Tower, a Fishing Dock, a Fountain of Haven, and district storage rooms. A sub-location within the outpost is called Soptunna — Swedish for "garbage bin."

Withering Heights[edit]

Withering Heights is a nether-aesthetic planned city at approximately X:1360, Z:−5520 in region r.2.−11 — a Purpur Line stop, accessible via the WIHI Hub (Withering Heights Interchange Hub) at nether X:57, Z:−551. It was founded as an Oasis Mining Co. project with formal building codes requiring nether brick as the primary material, fire and lava elements encouraged, and a posted animal code specifying that all animals within the city must be black or gray. Plots were reserved by contacting theoubre.

Free community supply chests stocked nether brick, nether wart block, soul sand, and magma at the city entrance. A diamond pickaxe in the deeper storage was named Oasis Mining Company.

The Nether Mob Arena ran from nether Z:−618 to −735 with north and south entrances. A road approach from the south passes through a Cangrejos x Oasis Mining outpost at X:1517, Z:−4798 (r.2.−10) and a roadside chapel called Capilla del Cristo at X:1495, Z:−4751.

Other Oasis Mining Holdings[edit]

In nether r.0.−4, theoubre operated under the Oasis Mining Co. name at Black Mesa — a complex including a Water Temple, Map Room, Island Retreat, and Triumphant Arch — and at an Acacia Fishing Village. Both facilities lie in the Purpur Line corridor south of the WIHI Hub.

Blue Line and Nether Infrastructure[edit]

theoubre built and was the primary maintainer of the Blue Line nether railway: "Built by theoubre, it was originally intended to go directly South." He also built the Auto-Furnace at nether (−68, 33, 159), signed "Auto-Furnace — theoubre," and maintained the Wither Arena at nether (136, 33, 325). His player name sign appears at the Withering Heights nether outpost alongside Computergeek217, Micky, wizardofire, Rot, felixdeportu, and others.

He maintained a personal storage locker in the Zothique nether (r.0.−5), alongside wizardofire, felixdeportu, Storm_Design, Karthuren, DinoGlitch, ShamyGames, and Moonflame.

theoubre completed RyanPhantom's 16-clue Zothique scavenger hunt; his name appears in the winner sign-in books at (2046, 49, 1936) in Aradia.

Diaspora[edit]

theoubre was among the players personally contacted by ComradeFeliks and Wizardofire when rebuilding the Diaspora roster in 2019. He became a resident of New Ravenport and has continued to support the server as a Patreon contributor through the Bankrekka era.
