Landmarks (Diaspora)

Landmarks (Diaspora) is the registry of notable monuments, memorials, cultural installations, and significant locations in Diaspora, the Ravenkraft world active November 2019–2021, sourced from Anvil region file scans (May 2026) and wiki records.

Founding Landmarks

The Drunken Stone

Coords: 112, 66, 1102 (r.0.2)

A tavern established November 16, 2019 — one of the earliest documented structures in Diaspora, predating The Sinkhole by two weeks. Built collaboratively by Wizardofire, felixdeportu, and Bonerus. The guestbook at (116, 65, 1105) was available for visitors to sign.

TheWanderingFool's Evil Dead Zombie Grinder

Coords: −1122, 57, −749 (r.−3.−2)

Established November 17, 2019 — among the very first player structures in Diaspora. Built and signed by TheWanderingFool as a free public grinder. The name "Evil Dead" references the horror film series.

AFK Hideaway

Coords: −1184, 68, −798 (r.−3.−2)

Established November 21, 2019 — "For use by the homies." An early communal AFK shelter.

The Sinkhole

Coords: −489, 65, 31 (r.-1.0, New Ravenport)

Established November 30, 2019 — a named founding landmark of New Ravenport. A sign reading "The Sinkhole | est. Nov 30, 2019" marks the location.

Hylianspire Manor

Coords: 253, 72, −651 (r.0.−2, Hyrule Province)

Established November 9, 2019 by Hylianerd — the first structure of Hyrule Province. The sign reads: "First Hylian establishment in Hyrule Province."

World Border Northwest Corner

Coords: −1499, 69, −1499 (r.−3.−3)

A commemorative marker at the northwest corner of the first Diaspora world border, documented November 9, 2019 — the same day Hylianerd founded Hyrule Province.

Memorials

Fountain Memorial

Coords: 3, 67, −390 (r.0.-1)

A memorial fountain with the inscription: "In Loving memory / Fountain / 9/4–9/11 2021." The dates span a single week in September 2021, near the end of Diaspora's active period. Context unknown; the fountain stands in an otherwise sparse region.

Cultural Installations

Doki's Room

Coords: −496, 75–76, 318–320 (r.-1.0, New Ravenport)

A private room signed by Doki, notable for a two-sign art-philosophy installation: Ceci n'est pas une pomme — a reference to René Magritte's The Treachery of Images ("This is not a pipe"), adapted here to an apple. One of the few self-aware conceptual art pieces documented across the Ravenkraft archive.

Traveling Circus — 2nd Tour Plaque

Coords: 13, 13–14, −71 (r.0.-1)

A commemorative marker for the second tour of the Traveling Circus, dated April 5, 2020, signed by:

The Traveling Circus was a recurring cross-world player expedition group. This plaque is one of only a handful of markers placing specific players at a specific location on a known date during Diaspora's history.

Cursed Bows Installation

Coords: −395 to −398, 47–48, 271–280 (r.-1.0, New Ravenport)

A small underground installation of three signs:

• "These rods carry a terrible curse..."
• "and that curse is '****'."
• "Cursed bows"

A dry-humoured enchantment storage display. The censored expletive in the second sign is left to the reader's imagination.

"Your Poketree Has Evolved"

Coords: −399, 68, 292 (r.-1.0, New Ravenport)

A single sign reading: "Your poketree has evolved to level oak." Placed beside a tree or sapling, apparently a player's affectionate note about their tree growing up.

Julbocken

Coords: 2777, 69, 2321 (New Feronia)

A Julbocken — the traditional Swedish Yule goat figure — erected on December 14, 2020 by the New Feronia community. A cultural marker of New Feronia's Scandinavian identity. The Gävle Goat of Ravenkraft.

FreakinMike's Freakin' Beekeepin' Beacon

Coords: −460, 66, 306 (r.-1.0, New Ravenport) and −322, 63, 518 (r.−1.1)

Two beacon towers operated by FreakinMike in association with The Hive bee farm. Notable primarily for the sign, which is the longest proper noun in the Diaspora sign record.

The Ghast Fight

Coords: Nether (−11, 58, −22) → OW ~(−88, ?, −176)

A Protected Landmark designated by the Historic Society: "The Ghast Fight. wizardofire. Dec 17, 2020."

"The Great Rescue of wizardofire"

Coords: Nether (0, 34, 126) → OW ~(0, ?, 1008)

A memorial sign: "The Great Rescue of wizardofire — July 19, 2020" — same date as the Nether Express Spawn Hub construction site.

Pillager Outpost Raid Plaque

Coords: −362, 78, −522 (r.−1.−2)

A plaque at a Pillager Outpost: "Raided by felixdeportu on Nov 19, 2019." Documents an early-server event.

Dark Forest Nature Preserve Outlook Tower

Coords: −48, 101, −673 (r.−1.−2, The Dark Forest)

An elevated observation tower overlooking the Dark Forest biome.

"The Night is Dark and Full of Terrors"

Coords: −728, 64, 690 and −705, 70, 720 (r.−2.1)

Two signs quoting the Game of Thrones prayer of the Lord of Light. The phrase is repeated on two separate structures in the same area, suggesting a themed zone.

Puzzle Dungeon

Coords: −927, 11, 1015 (r.−2.1)

An active puzzle dungeon with posted rules:

• Enter with an empty inventory (including armour)
• The only block players may break with their hands is Gravel
• An Enderbox is provided nearby for inventory storage

End Portal-type eyes are referenced at (−938, 6, 1015), and a water temple is accessible from (−924, 11, 1011).

Nigelian the Great's Domicile

Coords: −835, 91, −849 (r.−2.−2)

A residence inscribed: "Here sit the domicile of Nigelian the Great — Welcome!"
