Noir is a major underground city in Bankrekka, the current survival world of the Ravenkraft Network. Founded by ParadigmPlague, it occupies region r.1.-2 and is one of the most architecturally distinctive cities on the server — built entirely within deep cave terrain and spanning a vertical range of 121 blocks (y=−22 to y=99).

Its name — French for black — reflects its subterranean, shadowed character.

Overview

Noir's coordinates (540, 19, −640) mark the city floor at y=19, which is 45 blocks below sea level. However, the city extends far beyond this: NBT scan of region r.1.-2 reveals sign activity from y=−22 (deep cave / bedrock layer) to y=99 (surface or near-surface). The settlement functions as a complete self-contained city with distinct districts, commerce, lodging, farming infrastructure, and Nether portal access.

The city symbol — ╔╗ ╔╗ ☽ ╔╗ / ╝╚ ╚╝ ╚ ╬ — appears at multiple levels including at y=−22, suggesting it serves as a brand, faction emblem, or decorative motif across the city's full vertical extent.

The shop's name and signs are written in SushiBaked's characteristic comedic style. A custom scoreboard trigger /trigger ch_toggle at (536, 18, −631) suggests custom mechanics.

The Community Message Board

A community sign wall at approximately (556–560, 88–91, −664), styled "Message Board", has accumulated visitor inscriptions over time:

The message board is one of the clearest records of player visits to Noir and demonstrates the city's role as a social landmark within Bankrekka.

The Shaq & Pony Stables

Adjacent to Noir at approximately (660–664, 102–104, −713 to −727):

The Shaq — "Welcome to the start of quite a special place The Shaq..." at (660, 102, −714). A distinct named structure adjoining the Pony Passway entrance.
Pony grading stalls — horses sorted by quality:
- "Darn Good Ponies" / "A little bit less than Darn Good Ponies"
- "Good Ponies" / "Kinda Okay Ponies" / "Really sorta not that Okay Ponies"
- "Breeding Ponies" pen separate from rated stock
She-nay-nay — a named horse at the stables: "She-nay-nay is like the sword in the stone. Just waiting 4 the 1."

To: Surface — sign at (580, −22, −611) — an ascent route from the deepest city level.
Item sorter — at (739, 94, −691): "m/s Rate = 780 divided by items in chest" — rate-calculating redstone for an automated sorting system.

Nether Access

The Nether waypoint for Noir is at approximately (67, y=?, −63) in the Bankrekka Nether (Dynmap Pathways set). At the 8:1 overworld/Nether ratio this maps to OW (536, −504), consistent with the city's location at (540, −640).
